Enquiries and projects

I receive the name, email address and information you enter in a contact form or project brief. This may include a telephone number, business details, website address, budget and project requirements. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or sensitive personal information through these forms.

I use this information to reply, arrange a call, prepare a quote and deliver agreed services. Where you ask about a contract, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering that contract. For other business enquiries, my lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding and running the business. Relevant financial records are kept to meet legal obligations.

Who processes information

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and connection to help distinguish genuine enquiries from automated abuse. This necessary security runs independently of your analytics choice.

Form submissions are sent through Web3Forms to my business email inbox. Project briefs may also be stored in Cloudflare Workers KV for managing requests. These providers process information to deliver their services. Their infrastructure may process information outside the UK; applicable safeguards and processing locations are described in their privacy and data processing terms.

Website access and payments

For work on an existing website, I ask for a separate collaborator account with only the permissions needed. You remain in control and can remove access. Where the work involves your customers' personal information, the processing arrangements must be agreed as part of the project. Do not share your personal password.

This website does not collect card details. Payment arrangements and any payment provider are identified when you receive your quote or invoice.

Cookies, preferences and analytics

The site stores your privacy choice in your browser for up to 180 days. It can also remember a motion preference you have chosen. Fonts are hosted on this website, not requested from Google Fonts.

Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics. It measures visits and performance without advertising cookies. Consent is the basis for enabling this optional measurement here. You can reject it without affecting the website and withdraw your choice using Cookie and privacy settings in the footer.

Optional analytics is not currently connected. Accepting it will not send analytics data until the service is configured.

How long information is kept

New project briefs stored in Cloudflare KV expire after 180 days. This does not delete the corresponding email or records needed for an active project. Enquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation, deliver the work and resolve outstanding issues. Financial records are retained for the applicable statutory period. Contact me to ask about, or request deletion of, a particular record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. There is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
