The things marked "quoted separately" are still things we do — they are just projects rather than subscription work, because they take weeks rather than days. Ask and you will get a fixed price.
Where the line actually sits
Product descriptions: yes. Blog posts: no.
If you send us products to upload, we will write the descriptions to match the voice already on your store — that is part of the upload. What we do not do is ongoing content marketing: blog posts, SEO article schedules, newsletters. That is a different job, done by a different kind of person, and we would be bad at it.
Theme edits: yes. A new theme: no.
Changing what is on your theme — sections, banners, layout, colours, new landing pages — is subscription work. Designing and building a whole new theme from a blank page is a multi-week project and gets a fixed quote. Trying to do it a card at a time would take six months and annoy both of us.
Placing your photos: yes. Taking them: no.
Send us images and we will crop, compress, name and place them properly. We do not shoot product photography or edit video, and we will not pretend an AI upscale of a blurry phone photo is a substitute.
Installing apps: yes. Building them: no.
We will install, configure and wire up apps from the Shopify app store, and tell you honestly when one is not worth its monthly fee. Custom app development is a different discipline and not one we offer.
Small Liquid edits: yes. Rearchitecting your theme: no.
Template tweaks, new sections, conditional logic, fixing something a previous developer left broken — all fine. If a request would mean restructuring how the theme is built, we will tell you before we start and quote it as a project rather than quietly burning three weeks of your subscription on it.
If it is not on either list
Add the card anyway. We will either do it, or tell you within a day that it is a project and what it would cost. What we will not do is take it on, struggle silently, and hold up everything else in your queue.
